[ History ] :
For the canon and the character.

[ Personality ] :
Under most circumstances, Tech is a relatively jovial, easy-going individual. He works with a smile on his face, and it takes a lot (or a few things that are very specific) to ruin his disposition. While he can be given to emotional extremes, these are generally linked to his inventions. He takes great—almost maternal—pride in everything that he creates. The other side of this is that he can be devastated if anything happens to his creations. Much more so than he would be with anything happening to himself.

Tech operates well under pressure. Having experience in combat situations, he seems to be able to work at a consistent level of efficiency regardless of circumstances. Furthermore, he never appears to be stressed while working, even if he is within a strict timeframe. Similarly, he never seems to be afraid of or particularly hesitant to take risks (he’s also just a little clumsy. . .). This could have to do with his internalizing the fact that he seemingly cannot suffer permanent injury.

He can be arrogant—sometimes annoyingly so. He is well aware of his own intellect and he’s not shy with letting others know about it. Even so, this tendency is tied more to pointing out his accomplishments rather than simply boasting about himself. Not that he’s incapable of doing that either. He’s shown to have a somewhat competitive streak, even when it comes to subjects outside of his typical fields.

Having said that, Tech functions at his best when he’s working under someone else. He needs a project to devote himself to, or a goal to accomplish. It’s said that he has no leadership ability whatsoever, and this appears to be because of his difficulty with making decisions that aren’t directly tied to his own work or research.

Tech has a dry sense of humor that can, depending on his mood, come across as condescending. Aside from this, he tends to get along well with others. He’s also always eager to prove himself (show off?), and will be willing to help anyone out if it provides an opportunity to do so. He is extremely egocentric in many respects. However, it is less that he is overly concerned with his own advancement or wellbeing and more that he treats himself as the measure of most everything. He can be sympathetic, but he lacks a thorough understanding of how other people work in social situations. Interestingly, this doesn’t usually manifest as noticeable social awkwardness, as Tech is simply too detached for it to matter.

[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Tech’s natural gift is his genius. He’s a master scientist, mathematician, and engineer

The power of Saturday Morning Meteor Radiation has granted him two super powers: “magnetism” and regeneration.

In spite of the moniker, the magnetism functions more as a general manipulation of metal. He is capable of bending it, moving it through space, holding it in place against extreme force, and even finer movements. Presumably it can only influence metals that are capable of being magnetized.

The regeneration is precisely what it sounds like. Tech is capable of recovering from extreme injuries. Which is good for him, as his experiments often result in his being reduced to a charred husk. It might be the case that he has a sort of increased pain tolerance as well, as often these accidents seem to merely annoy him more than anything else.

He is also capable of piloting various land, sea, air, and subterranean vehicles. The majority of these were his own construction, but it stands to reason that he would be able to operate other vehicles with similar mechanics as well.

As far as weaknesses, Tech is not as physically gifted as any of his teammates. He tends to act in a supporting role. When he does engage in combat, he relies on firearms, gadgets, or his magnetic abilities.

He has an extraordinarily blinding amount of confidence in his own intelligence—going so far, in one case, as to adamantly insist that breaking a code he had written was a “logical impossibility” despite tremendous evidence to the contrary. While it is the case that he is rarely wrong about whatever he insists on, he will completely disregard the possibility that he can be wrong and this will result in oversights on his part. It also leads him to underestimate others with similar proclivities.

Lastly, Tech’s genius is somewhat directionless. He might create all sorts of things on his own, but he rarely determines how to apply them without some kind of external leadership. He does not seem to be an effective planner, unless the plan in some was directly relates to his works. If given a problem, he will find a solution. But he is not one to seek out or often even recognize problems by himself.

[ Other Important Facts ] :
Tech’s canon is set centuries after the original Looney Tunes cartoons and he is a descendant of Wile E. Coyote. It’s never made clear if the original Looney Tunes cast members were of any significance in this world, but he might recognize references to them nonetheless.

[ Sample ] :
[The feed clicks on, but the picture is not immediately clear. The waves of static come slightly into focus and all that is visible is a large, yellow eye. This pulls back and a canine face is visible, though the color of the image appears to be inverted.]

Starfish, huh? Not exactly stylish, but I guess I can’t fault you for consistency.

[The focus improves slightly, before dropping out again. A few moments later the picture is restore, clearly, and the color appears to have been corrected.]

—annnnnnnd there we go.

In any case. You’ve got a nice bubble here, but I don’t think I can stay too long. . . [The coyote is looking at something outside of the display, above and behind the camera.] Well, maybe. If you ask nicely.
